When I make work, I care most about its form. My body and mind work together to generate an object in consideration of how its lines, curves, chisels, and silhouette influence its presence in the physical world. 

And yet, I have little control over the shape and appearance of the work I create. My visual language is largely dictated by a  conversation between my body and the clay. The more I make, the more I learn about the aesthetic preferences and physical habits that instruct my fingers to glide across the surface of clay in specific ways. From making and seeing objects that I had not known existed in me, the sculptures help me learn more about myself.
